Grief Support
Every pet leaves a lasting imprint on the lives they touch. The memories, routines, and small moments shared together become part of who we are. When that presence is gone, it can be difficult to adjust. If you are grieving, please know you are not alone, and your loss is understood.

How to Support a Child Who Is Grieving
-
Be honest in simple language. Clear explanations help children feel safe and avoid confusion.
-
Encourage questions. Children may revisit the loss repeatedly as they try to understand it.
-
Allow emotions. Tears, quietness, or even playfulness are all normal responses.
-
Create a small remembrance ritual. Drawing a picture, sharing a story, or lighting a candle can help provide closure.
-
Reassure them. Let them know their feelings are valid and they are not alone.

Helping a child through loss can feel overwhelming, especially while you are grieving yourself. Give yourself grace. There is no perfect way to navigate this — only love and patience.
