Who we are
Green Pastures Pet Cremation is a locally owned and operated pet cremation-by-water service, proudly serving families with care, compassion, and respect.

Owned and operated by lifelong Ida, Michigan, residents Brad, Tammi, Dan, and Treca, our team has combined a shared passion for animals, agriculture, and public service into a business rooted in empathy and responsibility. Our goal is simple: to provide families with a gentle, humane, and environmentally thoughtful option when saying goodbye to a beloved pet.
A life shared with animals
We understand firsthand the deep bond shared between pets and the families who love them.

In addition to our six children, our families include horses, steers, alpacas, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats — each one a cherished companion. Like so many families we serve, we have experienced the heartbreak of losing a family pet. We know what it feels like to mend broken hearts, wipe away tears, and grieve the loss of a loyal friend.
Those personal experiences shape everything we do.
Why we chose a gentler approach
Through our own experiences and values, we recognized the need for a more compassionate approach to pet aftercare.

We are firm believers in water-based cremation (Aquamation®) as a gentle and respectful alternative to flame cremation. With that belief, we built a state-of-the-art Aquamation® facility designed to honor pets with dignity while also respecting the environment.

This approach allows us to care for pets in a way that aligns with both our values and the wishes of many families we serve.
